Ruth Irene Duckett Watts

Mrs. Ruth Irene Duckett Watts, age 79 of 47 Dovie Lane, Lakemont, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Henry and Mary Etta Smith Duckett, she was born December 14, 1937 in Pickens County, South Carolina having lived in Toccoa for some 22 years and in Rabun County for a long number of years.  She attended Taylor Chapel in Mountain City.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Watts.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Evans of Lakemont; grandchildren, Jerri Barnes, Michelle Kersey, Billy Hart and Jason Hart; twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Cheek of Aiken, South Carolina; five nieces including one special niece and one nephew.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 27, 2017, 2 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Thomas Burrell officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Billy Hart, Jason Hart, Nathan Hart, Ervin Carpenter, Donnie Carpenter and Doug Thacker.
