Marston Anthony “Tony” Cornett

Mr. Marston Anthony “Tony” Cornett, age 55 of Lula passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with entombment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Chris Cornett and Rev. Mark Stroud will officiate.  The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Cornett was born October 28, 1961 to Glenda Palmer and the late Carl W. Cornett in Boaz, Alabama.  He had previously worked as Heating & Air Technician for Hulsey Heating & Air and with the Gwinnett County Fire Department.  He had served in the Army and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Cornett is survived by his mother & step-father, Glenda & Richard Palmer of Flowery Branch; son & daughter-in-law, Chris & Ashley Cornett of Gainesville; brother & sister-in-law, Steve & Karen Cornett of Winder; step-sister, Gail Palmer of Gainesville; 2 nephews and 1 niece.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gwinnett Fire Employees Benevolent Fund or one’s favorite charity in the name of Tony Cornett.
