Martha “Marty” Ann Lanning Munger

Martha “Marty” Ann Lanning Munger, age 62, of Mountain City, GA, passed away on Thursday July 13, 2017.

Marty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and treasured her family most of all. She worked in the construction industry and all that knew her knew how much that she cared for others. Marty was always willing to lend a helping hand and would have given the “shirt off her back” to anyone in need. She never met a stranger and cared for everyone that she met, always seeking ways to help, in spite of her own struggles with addiction.

She is survived by her parents, Ernest and Joanne Lanning, of Lexington, NC; two daughters, Amber Munger, of Mountain City, GA, Lakeshia Gil, of Tiger, GA; two sisters, Debbie McDaniel, of Rockwell, NC, Lisa Johnson, of Lexington, NC; three grandchildren, William Munger, Isaac Lewis, Brooklyn Allgary; one great-grandchild, Georgia Frankum.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 22, 2017 at  2:00 pm at the chapel of the Beck Funeral Home with Rev. Oliver Rice and Rev. Joel Winchester officiating.
