Fernando Luis Muñoz Rodriguez

 Fernando Luis Muñoz Rodriguez, age 84 of Dahlonega, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. John Matejek officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-1:00 pm prior to the service.

 Mr. Muñoz was born January 27, 1933 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Fernando L. Muñoz Rentas and Maria Rodriguez Peña. He served in the United States Army and was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. Mr. Muñoz was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margarita Muñoz and step-daughter, Nancy Gonzalez.    

Mr. Muñoz is survived by his step-daughter, Iris Silva; step-son and wife, Fernando L. Gonzalez and Simone; step-daughter, Juanita Ruiz; step-daughter and husband, Judith and Jose Nuñez; step-daughter and husband, Daisy and James Huggins; step-daughter and husband, Christine and Wilson Nuñez; son, Gregorio Robles; daughters, Maria Muñoz, Brenda Muñoz, Carmen Muñoz, Lillian Muñoz; sisters, Raqel Muñoz and Carmen Muñoz; brothers, Angel Muñoz, Roberto Muñoz and Andres Muñoz; 35 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
