Mary Jo Robbs, 84, of Cumming passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, July 9, 2017. Mary Jo was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from the Forsyth County School System. Mary Jo is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Harold Robbs; her parents, Iverson and Bessie Gazaway; brother, Buddy Gazaway, and a sister, Betty Hester.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Jerry Lively of Danielsville, Jill and Alford Atkins of Cumming, Lori and Buddy Conner of Clayton, and Darla Castleberry of Cumming; grandchildren, Andrew Conner, Robb Lively, Kristi Conner, Andy Castleberry, Taylor Atkins, Alan Atkins, and Patrick Atkins; a great granddaughter, Skylar Lively; sister, Mildred Cochran of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Lunell Robbs and Mary Jo Bettis; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 11, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Sorrells and Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
