Minnie Sutton Waldrip

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 8, 2017 at Ward’s Funeral Home for Minnie Sutton Waldrip, age 95, of Helen. Dr. Bart McMillan will officiate. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ward’s Funeral Home. Mrs. Waldrip passed away July 4, 2017.

Minnie lived to be the last sibling of eight children, five girls and three boys. She was the fourth child of the late John L. and Jennie (Elder) Sutton. She loved gardening, fishing, camping and Atlanta Braves baseball games. A member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, Mrs. Waldrip moved to Nacooche, Georgia be near her son and daughter in law.

She was preceded in death by her husband Broadus Waldrip; granddaughter, Sandie Waldrip and great granddaughter, Jodie Buxton.

Survivors include son and daughter in law, Darrell and Ranae Waldrip; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
