Jimmy Leamon Coleman, age 64, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017 following an extended illness.
Mr. Coleman was born on December 18, 1952 in Clarkesville, Georgia to the late Claude and Lillian Coleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis Ronnie Coleman; Rex Stanley Coleman; and sister, Janice Coleman Green. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Coleman was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his sisters, Ann Elrod, of Clarkesville; Sue Chastain, of Mt. Airy; brother, Lamar Coleman, of Clarkesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Glade Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the United Sates Army, Grant Reeves V.F.W. Post 7720, American Legion Post 84, and Rabun D.A.V. #15.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the funeral home.
