Jerry Adrian Shipman

Mr. Jerry Adrian Shipman, age 50 of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at Friday, July 14, 2017 at 12:00 pm in Zion Grove Baptist Church in Woodford, Virginia with interment to follow in the church cemetery following the service.  The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 4 – 6 pm. Family will also have a visitation at C. W. Edward Funeral Home on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm. 

Mr. Shipman was born on June 19, 1967 in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of Jerry Shipman and the late Gloria Jean Johnson Shipman.  Jerry served in the U. S. Marine Corp and was employed with CDW in the shipping department. He was a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his son, Marcus Shipman.

Mr. Shipman is survived by his father, Jerry Shipman of Ruther Glen, VA; children, Michael Shipman of Anderson, SC, Brandon Shipman of Anderson, SC, Myah Shipman of Peoria, IL; 5 grandchildren; brothers, William Shipman (Pamela) of Gainesville and Keith Shipman of Memphis, TN, sister, Terrielynn (Frank) Evans of Buffalo, NY and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
