Mildred Louise Tatum, age 79, of Athens, GA passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at her residence.
Born on April 22, 1938 in Apple Valley, GA, Mrs. Tatum was the daughter of the late John Otis Clark and Bennie Busby Tolbert. She was a textile worker with Lyons Textile and Thomas Textile, of the Baptist faith, and is preceded in death by sons, Tommy Lee Nalley, Joseph Quetin Looney, and brother, Willie Lee Clark.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy and Tammy Looney, Athens, Michael and Beverly Looney, Athens, Richard and Mitzi Looney, Nicholson; daughter, Joann Curtis, Nicholson; brother, David Tolbert, Homer; sisters, Diane Tolbert, Athens, Shirley Patrick, Winterville; 17 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, June 30, 2017 at Ivie Funeral Home, Chapel with the Rev. Benson Bottoms officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Christian Church Cemetery, Maysville. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
