Bernice Hope Hughes Fortner

Bernice Hope Hughes Fortner age 82 of Gainesville, Ga. Died Monday June 26, 2017 at a private nursing home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday June 29th  at the Little Davenport Chapel, interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday June 28th from 6 to 8 pm.

Mrs. Fortner was born in Gainesville, Ga. October 15, 1934 to the late Claude W. & Eva Hope Hughes, she was of the Baptist faith and worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant with the Estes Store in Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her husband - Harold R. Fortner, 2 brothers - Harold C. Hughes, Alvin D. Hughes and a sister - Linda A. Hughes.

Survivors include: Brothers -William L. (Billy) Hughes  of Oakwood, Leonard Ray Hughes and his wife - Frances of Blairsville, and John C. Hughes, Sr. of Flowery Branch. 2 Sisters - Hazel J. Roosevelt of Olney, MD and Alice Hughes Sanders of Gainesville.
