Inez “Nez” Mionia Cagle Bearden Carson

Inez “Nez” Mionia Cagle Bearden Carson, age 86 of Clayton passed away peacefully June 24, 2017 at her residence with her family by. She was born May 4, 1931 the daughter of the late Issac Candler Cagle and Montine Gilmer Cagle. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Glenn Sheldon Bearden; her second husband, Winfield S. Carson; two brothers Charles Cagle, Benny Cagle and one sister Nellie Derrick.

She is survived by her son Sheldon “Shelley” Candler Bearden ( Lorelei) of Clayton, Ga., daughter Glendis Bearden Hobbs of Hernando, Ms., one sister, Lou Kennedy of Acworth, Ga., one brother, Gene Cagle of Toccoa, Ga., ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of other relatives also survive.

Inez was a member of Clayton Baptist Church where she attended the Ideal Sunday School Class, was a former member of the Jr. Woman’s Club, she was member of Clayton Rotary Club and WMU. She attended Clemson University summer school. She was instrumental in the Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts Club. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Her wishes were to be cremated. The family will have an interment service at Pickett Cemetery on Wednesday June 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Hobbs officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made in Inez’s honor to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund P.O. Box 485 Rabun Gap, GA 30568.
