Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Vickie Lynne Nix, age 60 of Cleveland. Vickie passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born on June 24, 1957 in Habersham County to the Wilma Gaddis Nix and the late Buddy Nix. Vickie recieved her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, Illinois and was employed for a number of years with the Georgia Department of Corrections at Lee Arrendale State Prison.
Vickie is survived by her daughter, Christie Nix of Fort Myers, FL; mother, Wilma Gaddis Nix of Cleveland; sisters, Dana Monday (Donnie), Cleveland, Pattie Dance of Cleveland and brother, Dean Nix also of Cleveland; grandson, Christopher Nix and her aunt, Jane Ivey. No public services will be held for Vickie, a gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
