Matthew Carl Jarvis, 46, of Sugar Hill, Georgia, passed away at home on June 22nd after a long illness. He was surrounded by his family. He grew up in Charleston, West Virginia and graduated from Charleston High School and Marshall University.
Matthew is survived by his wife Messina and son Ethan of Sugar Hill, Georgia; his parents Connie and Michael McClure of Pence Springs, West Virginia; H.K. Jarvis and Judy Gill of Teays Valley, West Virginia; his brother Andy Jarvis and sister-in-law Erika, niece Courtney Shifflett (Patrick Shifflett), and niece Caitlin Jarvis (Mason Covington) of Palmyra, Virginia; family friend and caregiver Amanda Brown of Sugar Hill, Georgia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Skip and Ruby Pennington of Charleston, West Virginia and paternal grandparents Keith and Lois Jarvis of Titusville, Florida.
As per Matthew's wishes, he was cremated. There will be no funeral. A memorial service will be held in Charleston, West Virginia at a later date. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed.
