Jaxon James Kistler, age 6, of Dahlonega, passed away suddenly on June 20, 2017 along with his dad, Joshua Nicolas Kistler.
Jaxon was born on June 24, 2010. He was a very energetic little boy. He loved pirates, especially Pirates of the Caribbean character, Jack Sparrow. He loved Marvel Mashers, Super Heroes, Teen Titans, and baseball. He was a Star Wars fan and was especially fond of Chewbacca and Darth Vader. Jaxon’s grandparents, Ricky and Trudy Tritt have some goats and chickens and he would love to ride the Gator down to help take care of the animals which included dogs Brody and Izzy. Jaxon recently made his first trip to Disney World and most recently, his whole family went on an Alaskan cruise where he lost his two front teeth while visiting Juneau.
Jaxon was preceded in death by great-grandparents; Carroll Johnny and Mary Elizabeth Mincey, Hoyt and Azalea Tritt and Ed and Cleta Mae Fortner and grandfather; James Kenneth Fortner. He is survived by his mother, Gretchen Kistler, grandparents, Ricky and Trudy Tritt and Pam Cahoon and Jimmy Kistler, great aunt; Mimi Joann Sexton, great aunt and uncle; Thorney and Lorri Mincey, cousins; Shannon, Craig, special best friend, Cooper, and Hadley Sexton, William and Rebecca Rawlins. Cooper and Jaxon just shared their first year of playing baseball together as teammates…..Cooper’s quote; “Jaxon and Josh aren’t dead….they’re alive in heaven.!”
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Dahlonega Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Les Fuller and Rev. Roger Dunagan officiating. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until the service time.
