Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mary Ann “MeMaw” Walden Herring, age 78 of Maysville, Georgia who entered into rest Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Mrs. Herring was born in Atlanta, Georgia and is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Smith Walden Love, brothers, Michael, Gerald, and E.L. “Tommy” Walden. A graduate of Fulton High School, Mrs. Herring loved crafts, Elvis music and the Atlanta Braves. Mrs. Herring was a member of Homer Baptist Church and was a retired Teller with Community Bank and Trust.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Savage and her husband Mark of Maysville, Robin Mathews and her husband Steve of Stockbridge. Brother, Joseph Walden of Dallas, Georgia. Grandchildren, Chase Herring (Kelly), Calli Shirley (Donnie) Brian Mathews (Faith) and Leigh Morgan (Matt). Seven Great Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 24, 2017 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Crabbe officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce, Georgia with Reverend Clay Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, June 23, 2017.
