Byron Hugh LeFevre

Byron Hugh LeFevre, of Dahlonega, passed away on June 19, 2017.

Byron was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on July 11, 1929. He was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and a member of Omicron Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After graduation, Byron was a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force serving in the 46th Fighter Interceptor Squadron during the Korean Conflict. Upon leaving the Air Force, he was a captain with Delta Air Lines where he flew from 1956 through 1988. 

Byron was preceded in death by his parents Emile C. and Jessie Craven LeFevre and his sister, Emelia Johnson of Edmond, Oklahoma. Byron is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vera Lyons LeFevre of Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law Tom and Susan LeFevre of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law David and Pat LeFevre of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Trent Conner of Dahlonega; granddaughter Ashley (Allen) Ligon; granddaughter Jennifer (Alan) Schuetze; grandsons Scott LeFevre, Richard LeFevre, Michael Conner, Brian (Ally) LeFevre; granddaughter Jillian (Chris) Toombs; and sister Marilyn Iott of Salem, South Carolina.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday June 21, 2017 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
