Julie Haynes, 64 of Gainesville died Sunday June 18, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Ithaca, New York, Julie had lived in Hall County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Reba Giles Bryant. She had worked for the Child Development Center at First Presbyterian Church and also with the family business, Haynes Grocery for a number of years. She attended Antioch United Methodist Church and Center Baptist Church in White County.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Jack Haynes, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Michael Wilkes, Cleveland; daughter, Kelly Haynes, Gainesville; granddaughter, Mikalyn Wilkes, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and David Cleghorn, Oakwood; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 21, 2017 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Michael Wilkes will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday June 20 from 6-8 p.m.
