Mary Suggs

Mrs. Mary Suggs, 82, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Hicks will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on September 24, 1934 in Rome, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Mary George Barskdale Brown. She graduated from Dalton High School in 1951. She was retired from 9th District Opportunity. Mrs. Suggs was of the Presbyterian faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Suggs is preceded in death by her sister, Rena Helton.

Mrs. Suggs is survived by her husband, Maurice Suggs of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Kim Kriner Broome and Cal Broome of Savannah; son and daughter in law, Joel Kriner and Debra Houser Kriner of Arnoldsville, GA; son, Barry Suggs of Gainesville; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
