Priscilla Faith Harrison Beale, age 82, peacefully passed into eternal life on June 13, 2017 in her beloved lake house in Dawsonville, GA.
She was born in June, 1935 in Long Beach, California, the first of John and Katherine Fright’s four children. Near the start of her high school years the family had relocated from the “valley” to the “high desert” of Barstow. Priscilla was very involved in school and community activities. She was selected as Miss Barstow and awarded the title of “Miss Congeniality” in the Miss Southern California contest. She continued that spirit until this day.
During her senior year she met, Charles Frederick Harrison, a young Lieutenant from South Carolina who had recently been assigned to Camp Nebo. She married him in 1953 and the following year, moved to Columbia SC after he separated from the Marine Corps. A job transfer sent them to Atlanta, GA where they raised their four children. She was widowed in 1985 and was remarried to Sterling Edward Beale of Columbia SC in 1988, where they lived happily until retiring to Dawsonville, GA in 2013.
Pricilla is survived by three children: Lutricia Barnett (Ewing) and their son Trey, Chuck Harrison (Beverly), and John Harrison (Kirsten) and their children Tyler, Laura, and Mary Grace. She is also survived by step son John Beale (Beth) and grandchildren John Edward (Kayla), Zachary, Chandler, and Chase, brother Daniel Frajt (Charlotte), and sister Connie Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Frederick Harrison, her second husband Sterling Edward Beale, her daughter Debra Faith Harrison Nichols, her step son Charles Sterling (Chuck) Beale, and sister Brenda Hyames.
A celebration of her life, interment, and reception will be held in the sanctuary at The Cathedral of Saint Philip, 2744 Peachtree Rd. Atlanta, GA on Tuesday June 20, 2017 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to The Salvation Army, PO Box 2786, Columbia SC, 29202.
