Rev. Curtis D. Allbritten, DD, age 76, of Cumming, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 16, 2017. He was born and raised in Cedartown, Georgia. Curtis pastored in Conyers, Georgia, for 5 years, then later moved to Canada where he founded and pastored a Church for 8 years. He was involved in the New Beginnings Ministry in Toccoa, Georgia, where he ministered to trouble women. He earned his doctorate of divinity degree in ministry. He was preceded in death by his parents, G. W., Jr and Addie Allbritten; sister, Helen Paxman.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Barbara Allbritten; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Carrie Allbritten; daughter, Sara Collins; sister, Edna Garmon; brother, Lonnie Allbritten; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 21stat 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Allbritten officiating. Entombment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday from 10:00 am until hour of the service.
