Merline Maund

Merline Maund, age 100 of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

Mrs. Maund was born October 15, 1916 in Howard Lake, MN to the late Harry and Lola May Magill. Her childhood was spent in Oklahoma, she later moved to Florida where she and her husband raised their children.  The family later moved to Georgia retiring in the Skylake Community of Sautee Nacoochee.

She was the oldest living member of Nacoochee United Methodist Church and was a former accountant for the church. Merline was retired from JCPenney and Baby Land General where she was an administrative assistant for Xavier Roberts. Merline was an avid bridge player and an accomplished seamstress who also loved to knit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian Maund and brother, Charles Magill.

Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Page, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Maund and Randy Denman, Auburn; grandchildren, Chip Page, Sautee Nacoochee; Courtney Page Brooks, Cleveland; Christy Page Mettler, Roswell; sister, Jo Sattelmeier, Hayesville, NC and 4 great grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Nacoochee United Methodist Church, Sautee, GA.
