Mildred Hodge Wright

Mildred Hodge Wright, age 71, of Duluth, GA passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017. She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, Pastor Bobby Wright, Duluth, GA; children, Channing U. and Gabriela Wright, Orlando, FL, Meagan W. and Timothy Boson, Duluth, GA, Bryce C. and Shaira Wright, Tucker, GA, Joshua E. and Jana Wright, Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren; sister, Yvette G.H. Banks, New York City; brother, Guy M. Hodge, Jr., New York City; several nieces, nephews and cousins; step children, Bobby Labron Wright, Atlanta, GA, Derrick Kris Wright, Decatur, GA, Patrice Evett Wright, Ellenwood, GA. Mrs. Wright was born December 27, 1945 in Savannah, GA. She was a graduate of Sol Johnson High School in Savannah, GA, a 1968 graduate of Savannah State College with a bachelor’s degree, and a 2001 graduate of Cambridge Boston College where she received her Master’s Degree in Education. She was a retired music teacher for the City of Atlanta School System, with thirty-one years of service. She also retired from Savannah Board of Education after nine years of service. She was a member of Back To Bible Holiness Church in Buford. Home Going Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford. Mrs. Wright will be placed in the chapel to lie in state at 12:30 p.m. A private interment will be held at GA National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
