Hollis Seagraves, 82, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at his residence in Gillsville, with his family at his bedside.
Born to Lillie and William Oliver Seagraves in Madison County, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Howard Seagraves and the Rev. R.B. Seagraves.
He is survived by Pat Crumley Seagraves, his wife of 54 years; daughters and sons-in law: Alisa and Randy Sisk of Gainesville and Anne and Scott Anacker of Buford. Grandchildren: Erin Sisk and Cody Gossett of Flowery Branch, Evan Sisk and Crystal Mayabb of Gillsville ; Brady, Grace and Cason Anacker of Buford, Angel and Kensie Humphries of Gainesville, . Great- grandchildren: Kinley Cain, Emory Sisk, Megan Roberts and Jasper Thomas.
Other relatives include sister-in-law Minnie Knight, Baldwin, GA; niece and nephew Brenda and Paul Feldman, Bald Ground, GA; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Marie and Coleman Allen and Johnny and Sally Crumley along with a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Hollis served as an M.P. in the 12th Ordinance Battalion of the U.S. Army in Germany in the 1950’s and enjoyed reunions with his military group, maintaining special friendships with Carl Gilbert, Homer Purvis and J.B. Jones. He was a master pressman; following the printing trade his entire working life. He enjoyed working with East Hall High School Band Boosters and served several years as president of the Sunday Night Mixed Bowling League at Gainesville Bowling Center. He was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.
