Jason Daniel West

Jason Daniel West, age 35, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J. D. and Mattie Lou West and Salvatore and Nancy Larocco; and sister, Jolene West. He is survived by his mother, Joann “Jodi” West, Panama City, FL; father, Ron E. West, Panama City, FL; sister, Jessica W. Dennison and partner James Taylor, Panama City, FL; brother, Jonathan W. West, Panama City, FL; nephew Jayden Dennison; niece, June Taylor; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. West was born March 7, 1982 in Duluth, GA. He was a 2000 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA, attended West Georgia College where he studied accounting and finance, a graduate of Johnson Wales University where he received his Culinary Degree; and a graduate of Georgia State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality. He was employed with Cowgirl Kitchens in Seagrove, FL as a General Manager. He was a member of Church at Bethel in Thorsby, AL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Turning Pointe Foundation, 1881 County Road 627, Thorsby, AL 35171 in memory of Jason Daniel West.
