Mrs. Betty Jean Waggoner Hudson, age 80, residing on prospect road in Toccoa, Ga., passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia at Piedmont Hospital.
A daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice Young Waggoner, she was born November 25, 1936 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia and lived for most of her life in Toccoa. She retired from Milliken and worked at the Highway 123 Milliken plant. Mrs. Hudson was a member of Prospect Church. She was preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Cheyenne Hudson.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane Hudson-Skelton of Clarkesville, Ga. and Robin and Jim Porter of Tyrone, Ga.; three sons and daughters-in law, Gary and Barbara Hudson, Jason and Frances Hudson, and Rickey Hudson all of Toccoa, Ga., two sisters, Louise Reed of Eau-Claire, Wisconsin and Charlotte Stupiansky of Cleveland, Ohio, and by twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from Prospect Church with Reverend Stephen Baker officiating.
The following grandsons have been selected to serve as pallbearers; Matt Hudson, Brandon Hudson, Connor Hudson, Jonathon Hudson, Will Hudson, and David Hudson.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home.
