James Barry Hahn, 84, of Gainesville, departed this life for his heavenly home on June 8, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville, Georgia.
Barry was born January 13, 1933 in Freedom, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest of three sons of James Emory and Thelma Hahn.
He graduated from GA State University and the majority of his life was spent working for AT&T, in several positions, retiring after nearly 40 years as a manager.
He was a devoted husband to two wives, Ola Kelly Hahn and Arlene J. Walker Conrady Hahn. He was a loving and supportive father to his only child, Elizabeth.
Barry was a man of sharp mind enjoying poetry, crossword puzzles, politics, and current events. He was a good friend to many and took great pleasure in golfing, canoeing, and playing bridge with his friends.
For nearly a decade, Barry called Smoky Springs his home and enjoyed his friends and the many activities they shared together. Barry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The celebration of his life will take place at Smoky Springs Retirement Community, 940 S Enota Dr. NE, Gainesville, GA 30501, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 3pm.
