Robbie Lee Whelchel Stephens

Robbie Lee Whelchel  Stephens, 89, of Murrayville, died Wednesday June 7, 2017 at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Stephens was the daughter of the late Harold and Cassie Chapman Whelchel.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her children, Shirley and Doug Thomas, Gainesville; Pat and Jerry Dover, Murrayville; Linda and James Lyle, Commerce; Lounette and Charles Elliott, Gainesville; Ricky and Patsy Stephens, Murrayville; Darlene and Dana Carver, Murrayville; daughter-in-law, Bertie Stephens, Murrayville; sister, Evelyn Brock, Gillsville; brother, Buddy Whelchel, Gainesville; grandchildren, Tracey and Patrick Elliott; Dana and Terry Waycaster; Don Stephens; Devon Thomas; Eric and Jana Elliott; Nick and Denise Stephens; Jason and Keisha Stephens; Danielle and Kyle Wiley; Brant Stephens; Dakota and Brooks Burnette; great grandchildren, T.J. and Megan Elliott; Dylan and Courtney Elliott; Hayden Thomas; Lucas Stephens; Blakely Stephens; Madison Stephens; Star Stephens; Summer Stephens; Angel Stephens; Randy Stephens;  great great grandchildren, Jax Elliott; Brianna Elliott; Allie Elliott.

Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Brantley Stephens, son, Brantley Stephens, Jr., brothers and sisters, Perry Whelchel, Ray Whelchel, Louise Clark, Inez Thurmond, Dortha Roper.

The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Dr. Nadella and her team, Trisha and Northeast Georgia Hospice for the care and love given to Mrs. Stephens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Robbie's memory, 2565 Thompson Bridge Rd., Suite 114, Gainesville, GA  30501.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday June 11, 2017 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  Rev. Steve Baker will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Saturday June 10 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
