Lola Pearl Duff Rider

Lola Pearl Duff Rider, age 68, of Dahlonega, GA passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Northside Forsyth Hospital.

She was employed as a cashier with Greenway Grocery, Charlie’s Grocery and most recently Aramark at University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. Lola was known for her big heart and love of people, she never met a stranger.

Lola is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Rider; parents Jack and Ila Mae Duff; brothers, J.A. “Bunky” Duff, Allen “Tubby” Duff, and sister, Geraldine Davis.

Lola is survived by her son, Justin Rider, Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Holly Trusty, Dahlonega, GA; granddaughter, Riley Trusty, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, George and Maebelle Duff, Dahlonega, GA, Clayton and Reba Duff, Dahlonega, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Henrietta and Johnny Barnes, Murrayville, GA; Sue and Ron Stuart, Gainesville, GA; sister-in-law and spouse, Ann and Vaughn Gilstrap, Murrayville, GA, Jeanette Martin, Austell, and Dene Chester, Social Circle, GA. Numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.

Funeral services for Lola are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 2 PM to 8 PM and again on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 12 Noon until time of service.
