Edward James Barnett, Jr., passed away peacefully under hospice care near his home in Cumming, Georgia on May 26th, after surviving his wife Ginny by one and a half years that he loved very dearly. The son of the late Edward and Ethel Barnett, he served his country in the Army Air Corp during WW II as a bombardier-navigator on the B-24 Liberator. After the war he became a Nuclear Engineer and worked at MIT and TVA before retiring in Tennessee. He later lived in Florida and Georgia to be near family. He enjoyed woodcarving, reading and crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his three sons; Ken (Dee), Dave (Vicki), Ed (Leanne), four grandsons: Dan (Kara), Andrew (Nina), Graham (Sasha), Cameron, and 5 great grandchildren.
Donations may be made in his memory to the American Red Cross. The family will remember him at a private gathering.
