Sandra “Cindy” Baird

Mrs. Sandra “Cindy” Baird, age 68, of Jefferson, GA died Monday, May 29, 2017 at Emory University Hospital.  Mrs. Baird was born in Commerce to the late Carl Parks Faulkner and Dorthy Jean Ayers Hill.  Mrs. Baird was a member of Redeemed Baptist Church and was retired from the University of Georgia.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Clinton and Regina Hill.

Mrs. Baird is survived by her husband, Phillip Baird of Jefferson; daughters, Sharon Sanders (Jason) of Gillsville and Karen Evans (Ken) of Maysville; son, Bryan Baird (Michelle) of Dexter; sisters, Jennifer Wright of Conyers, Marcia Sullivan of Laurenburg, NC and Christy Phelps of Maysville; brothers, Obie Faulkner of Maysville and Bill Hill of McDonough;  and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, June 1 at Redeemed Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Parks officiating.  Interment will follow in Maxwell Baird Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 5 to 8 PM.
