Hendrix Lee Benfield

Hendrix Lee Benfield, infant son of Jesse Lee Benfield & Amberly White Benfield of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Habersham Medical Center.

Hendrix Lee was born on December 10, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia. His family says, “Our barefoot little baby boy had a big smile that was contagious. He could brighten your day by looking into his big blue eyes and could turn a frown upside down. Hendrix Lee loved being outside, sucking his thumb, and being spoiled by his family. He was adored by many and will be missed dearly.”

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfathers, L.C. Turner, Ted White, and paternal great-grandmother, Betty Martin Benfield.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his maternal grandparents, Jeannie White of Alto, GA; Marty White of Lavonia, GA; paternal grandparents, Kaye Benfield of Clarkesville, GA; Ronnie Benfield of Clarkesville, GA; maternal great-grandparents, Dorothy Turner of Alto, GA; Marylina White of Lavonia, GA; Hoyt & Annette Sanders, Lewis Benfield all of Clarkesville, GA; uncles, Justin White & fiancé, Amy Miller of Alto, GA; Jason Benfield of Toccoa, GA; Jake Jones & Jarrett Benfield both of Clarkesville, GA; several great-aunts, great-uncles, & cousins.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 01, 2017 at the Hollywood Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Hall & the Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
