Richard "Buddy" Sanderson, age 59, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard M. Sanderson.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Harriett Cannon Sanderson, Sugar Hill, GA; children, Richard Eric and Kaci Jackson Sanderson, Sugar Hill, GA and Taylor Andrew Sanderson, Sugar Hill, GA; grandchildren, Luci Kate Sanderson and Richard Jackson Sanderson; mother, Virginia Wood Sanderson, Albany, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Dennis Eldridge, Albany, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Sanderson was born October 7, 1957 in Hamilton, Bermuda. He was a 1975 graduate of Dougherty High School in Albany, GA and was employed with P.A.I. Industries in Suwanee, GA. He was a member of Eagle Scouts and a member of Shadowbrook Baptist Church in Suwanee, GA. He was a wonderful husband, father and Pops.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Lett officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Highway 197, Clarkesville, GA 30523 with Rev. Kerry Jackson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sibley Heart Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, 1405 Clifton Road, N. E., Atlanta, GA 30329 in memory of Buddy Sanderson.
