James “JD” Autry

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday May 27, 2017 at Rejoice Worship Center for James “JD” Autry, age 59 of Gainesville. The Rev. Jerry Mauldin and Rev. Johnny Poole will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Autry passed away Tuesday May 23, 2017.

Mr. Autry was born in Ft. Bragg North Carolina. He was a graduate of Johnson High School class of 1976. He was owner of Autry HVAC and member of Rejoice Worship Center. He was preceded in by death his father and mother, Forrest and Violet Autry, brothers, Mert Autry, and Eddie Autry.

JD enjoyed countless motorcycle rides, hunting, four-wheel drives, and the company of good friends and his church family. JD is known for his generous spirit and always helping others and has continued to do so through organ donation. He will be missed by many.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 20 years, Brenda Autry, daughters, Jennifer Butler, Jessica Mauck, Jana McDonald Amber, and Chantal Parker.
