William Richard "Dickie" Stanley

William Richard "Dickie" Stanley, age 68, of Gainesville passed away Friday, May 19, 2017.  Dickie was a United States Army veteran, he was a member of the VFW in Gainesville.  He loved photography, model cars, airplanes and his family.  Survivors include his nieces Stephanie Burnette and Laura Brewer; great nephews Caden, Cody, David, Peyton and Jeffery and great niece Christina.  He is preceded in death by his brother Bryan "Dan" Stanley and sister Norma Beth Stanley.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, May 26, 2017 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment to follow at Alta Vista Cemetery, 521 Jones Road, Gainesville, GA, 30501.  The family receive friends 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, May 26, 2017 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the VFW Gainesville or Shriners.  Funeral arrangements by Lawson Funeral Home, 4532 Hwy 53, Hoschton, GA, 30548, www.lawsonfuneralhome.org, 706-654-0966.
