Elizabeth W. Jackson, 86, of Cumming, formerly of Gainesville, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017. A loving, devoted wife, mother and granny, she fulfilled her dream of retiring to Florida before returning to Cumming to be with her family. Betty worked tirelessly to raise her 5 children. She loved the Atlanta Braves and all music by Elvis. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Jackson; her middle son, Thomas Patrick Winters; and her parents, Grover and Ruby Maddox.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Milligan of Atlanta, Peggy Rich of Dacula; sons, Albert G. Winters, III of Douglasville, William Winters of Bueche, LA; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
