Gennette Banks Andrews

Mrs. Gennette Banks Andrews age 94 of Toccoa passed away Sunday May 21, 2017 at Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late John Thomas and Mandy Cornelia Payne Banks, she was born on October 12, 1922 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived in Atlanta for 20 years before returning home to Toccoa. She was retired from Vermont America and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She loved her family and cherished every moment with them. She is preceded in death by her husband William Artis Andrews in 1981, a son Bobby Andrews, a daughter Sandra Joyce Reynolds, a grandson Tim Reynolds, two brothers Marion Banks and Lem Banks, two sisters Gladys LeCroy and Juanita Payne.

Survivors include son and daughters-in-law Roger and Cheryl Andrews of Toccoa and Judy Andrews of Toccoa, five grandchildren Lynne Burton, Chad Andrews, Kelley Burrell, Amy Bazzell and Dusty Andrews, ten great-grandchildren and nine great-great children, one sister Martha Murphy of Toccoa and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 23, 2017 at 1 P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Tommy Childress officiating. The family will be at the home of Roger and Cheryl Andrews 1447 Buena Vista Drive and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Dusty Andrews, Jeff Bazzell, Chad Andrews, Roy Burton, Cole Meeks and Grant Brewer.

Interment will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
