Louis Washington, age 67, of Suwanee, GA passed away Wednesday, May 17,2017. He was preceded in death by parents, George and Hannah Washington; brothers, Joseph Washington; Robert Earl Washington, and Willie “Cal” Washington; sister, Margaret Byrd. Mr. Washington is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Pamela Hayes Washington, Suwanee, GA; daughter, Sonia Myers, Duluth, GA; grandchildren, Ryan D. Smith, Suwanee, GA, Alexia R. Myers, Duluth, GA, Dante A. Myers, Duluth, GA; sisters, Erma Lee Manuel, Havanna, FL, Vera Mae and Ernest James Brown, Havanna, FL; sister-in-law, Catherine Washington, Havanna, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Alvin “PeeWee” and Patricia Washington; brother-in-law, Mack Byrd, Havanna, FL; aunts, Maggie Anderson, Atlanta, GA, Edna Anderson, Havanna, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Washington was born on December 27, 1949 in Havanna, FL. He was a 1967 graduate of Northside High School in Havanna, FL and a 1975 graduate of Florida A & M University with a Bachelor’s degree. Mr. Washington was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired from Bell South as I. T. Supervisor after twenty-eight years of service, and he was a member of Suwanee Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 4681 Suwanee Dam Rd, Suwanee.  The service will be held at Suwanee Kingdom Hall. (The time and date for the service is pending).  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hosptial for cancer research in memory of Louis Washington.
