Anita C. Thomas Strickland

Ms. Anita C. Thomas Strickland, 59, of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 following a motorcycle accident. 

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny Tankersley and Rev. Lynn Garrison will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Ms. Strickland was born on May 26, 1957 in Gainesville, GA to the late Fred Weldon Thomas and Barbara Sue Crowe Little. She was a graduate of Johnson High School, owner and operator of Pet Place and of the Baptist faith. She was very involved in Legion Riders and was given the name Running Bare. She had a special love for her pet dog, Babea Lea. She was a very giving and loving person. She was always willing to help anyone in need.

Ms. Strickland had a very special love for her two children, Scott and Stacy, and will be deeply missed by them. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Strickland of Gainesville (fiancé Jason Bost of Pulaski, TN); son, Scott Strickland of Gainesville; granddaughter, Denri Strickland of Gainesville.
