Lillie Montine White Adams

Lillie Montine White Adams, age 84, of Oakwood passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017. She was born and raised in Oakwood, GA. Montine was a member of First Baptist Church Oakwood. She was a Godly woman, very devoted to her family and enjoyed caring for others. Survivors include her daughter Tammy Adams Norris and husband Tracy; sisters Merel Byers and Hazel Williams; grandchildren Kara Norris Babikan and husband Michael, Dalton Norris and wife Lakrista; great grandchildren Noel, Naomi, Ashton and Elijah and a host of other relatives.  She is preceded in death by her husband Clifton Adams; parents Jay and Alma Grace Westmoreland White; brothers Elrey White, Damon White, and Robert White; sisters Alma Grant, Janice Austin, Wilma White, Rila Nell Pruitt and special friend Bob Garrett. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, May 18, 2017 at First Baptist Church Oakwood, 3780 Old Oakwood Road, Oakwood, GA, 30566. Rev. Myles Brown, Rev. Randall Reed and Rev. Charles Grant, Jr. will be officiating. It was Montine's wishes for her body to be donated to the Emory School of Medicine so that she could help others in need. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Baptist?
