Doris J. Mowen

Doris J. Mowen, 82, of Dawsonville, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. The Rev. David Walters will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm, Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

Mrs. Mowen was born June 15, 1934 to the late Edwin and Goldie Mae Wilson. She was of the Baptist faith and was a great fan of Nascar. She was a homemaker who loved and cherished her family deeply.

She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Cathi Mowen of Gainesville, Kevin and Melanie Mowen of Kennesaw, and Kelly and Sabrina Mowen of Flowery Branch; brothers, Dennis Wilson and Danny Wilson; sisters, Dorita Chabak, Debbie Wilson, and Diana Keshari; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews and other loved ones.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Bobby Gene Mowen
