Dorothy Elaine Lewis, age 86 of Maysville, GA passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017.
Born March 28, 1931 in Green Lake, Wisconsin, Mrs. Lewis was the daughter of the late Walter and Clara Rieck Smith. She was a retired waitress with Holiday Inn and Firebird, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens, GA, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Schlafer.
Survivors include sons, Stephan M. Lewis, Maysville, Thomas R. Lewis, Washington, DC; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda L. (Keith) McGinnis, Nicholson, Julie (Neill) Segrest, Hull; sister, Lorraine Stoneberg, Maumee, OH; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, May 15, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens, GA with the Rev. David Heller and Rev. Aaron Reinking officiating. A private burial will be held at Grove Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, GA.
