Mrs. Lola Theodosia Putman, 79, of Gainesville passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul UMC on Summit Street in Gainesville with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Clarence Thrower and Reverend Roger Stephenson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 16, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born on June 25, 1937 in Clarkesville, GA she was the daughter of the late Theodore Lockwood Sr. and Jenny Bell Demry Lockwood. Mrs. Putman retired from Wrigley’s where she was a machine operator. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Putman is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Bernard Putman; sister, Alberta Russell; son in law, Emmette Bernard Goss, Sr.; special cousin, Mary (Anne) Gillespie, brother, Theodore Lockwood, Jr., sister, Annie Marie Calloway, grand pets, Brandy Goss, Symeana Goss, Zoe Goss, Kia Goss, very special close friends, Dorothy Harrison (Dot), and Mary Powell.
Mrs. Putman is survived by her husband, Tony Holt of Gainesville; daughter, Angela Putman Goss of Gainesville; grand pets Kiya Goss; step grandson, Emmette Bernard Goss, Jr. of Gainesville; special cousin, Morene Sosebee, Dayton, OH; sisters, Synoria Brock, Toccoa, GA; Linda Davis, Clarkesville, GA; brothers, Barry Lockwood of Miami, FL, Donald Lockwood of Gainesville and a number of other relatives.
