Lois E. “Memi” Whitt

Ms. Lois E. “Memi” Whitt, age 76, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, with her family.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Mt. Salem Baptist Church.  Rev. Clyde Self, Rev. Paul Wade and Rev. Tim Hunter will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service at the Church.  A second Memorial Service will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana sometime in June and final burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, Indiana.

Memi was born June 28, 1940 to the late George Wilson Seals & Hazel Fern Rose Seals in Vincennes, Indiana.  A retired Air National Guard Veteran, she was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church and the Good Samaritan Food Pantry. 

Ms. Whitt is survived by her children, Victoria Rose of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kimberly Hensley of Gainesville, Tracey Hall of Flowery Branch, Thomas Whelan of Nebraska, and Teresa Whelan of Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, John Michael Whelan; and siblings, George Patrick Seals, Peggy Joann Simon and Gwendolyn Lou Rash.
