John Boswell

Obituary Date: Saturday, May 6, 2017

John Boswell, age 60, resident of Cumming, GA and proudly born in Waco, TX, died on Thursday the 4th in the afternoon. He was with his wife when he fell weak due to a pre-existing heart condition when she rushed him to the hospital. His last words were "I love you" before he lost consciousness and was unable to be revived.

The final six years of his life were spent deeply in love with his wife, Debbie Boswell. A high school crush rekindled into a deep love. They went on adventures and had fun every single day, and according to Debbie, that excitement lasted up unto the very last two weeks when he was just too weak to live the hard-working, fun-filled life he was used to. He had one son, Joseph Boswell, who lives an adventurous and meaningful life. His father raised him on camping, old western stories, and bicycle trips, and Joseph never really stopped living in that spirit. John also had two step sons, Mac and Scott, and a step daughter, Jackie who were also the light of the latter years of his life. Many describe him as "larger than life." John was a cowboy in spirit and never stopped exploring, working, and learning. And though John was cut of a nomadic cloth, he was never alone in his travels, he loved his family and friends too much and they made the foundation of his life on this earth. He played music and he thought music was proof of miracles. In his career he made a remarkable impact on the camaraderie and safety protocols of the Wind Energy industry around the world and did so out of passion for problem solving and loyalty to his coworkers.

There are too many important people in his life to mention because he loved everyone and everyone loved him. He is survived by his two older brothers, Steve and Jim, who both share the Boswell wit and intelligence. The three of them remained close for his entire life. His sister-in-law, Jeannine, his many nieces and nephews, and his good friends such as his best buddy from high school, Tom Baynham, also survive him and will remember him fondly. He will also be missed by the mother of his son and previous wife, Mary Chappell, with whom he maintained a supportive and loving relationship as parents and friends.

This Sunday, May 7th, John's visitation and service will be held at:
