Bobby Clifton Janes

Mr. Bobby Clifton Janes, 79, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 following a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Wayne Hicks and Rev. Pierce Ashemore will officiate.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Gainesville, GA., on April 14, 1938 he was the son of the late O.C. and Madge Townsend Janes. Mr. Janes was retired from the Hall County Fire Department with 26 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended New Haven Congregational Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Janes is preceded in death by his brothers Nick Janes and Billy Janes.

Mr. Janes is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy “Lucy” Janes of Gainesville; son, Nick Janes; daughter, Tracy Janes; granddaughter, Kacey Janes; grandson, Noah Janes; sister, Betty Freeman all of Gainesville.
