Winston Luke Whitey

Mr. Winston Luke Whitey, 72, of Dahlonega, Ga passed away April 26, 2017 at The Oaks of Limestone following an extended illness.

          The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Rev. Jimmy Wehunt, and Rev. Tim Pruitt will officiate. 

Born on May 24, 1944 in Hall County, GA he was the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt Whitey and Bennie Mae Dean Whitey. Mr. Whitey was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitey is preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Whitey; daughter, Angie Whitey; grandchildren, Caleb Moore and Christian Whitey.

          Mr. Whitey is survived by his daughter, Christy Wilson Whitey of Cleveland; son, Cory Whitey of Dahlonega; 5 grandchildren; brothers and sisters in law, Herbert Whitey (Shirley) of Gainesville, Jimmy Whitey (Ermie) of Dahlonega; sisters and brothers in law, Edna Simmons (Odis) of Cornelia, Jean Sheriff (Weldon) of Dawsonville, Ann Wehunt (Jimmy) of Dahlonega, June Wilkins (Charles) of Talking Rock, Janes Karnes (Wayne) of Gainesville, Judy Tyner (Bond) of Gainesville, Rose Sosebee (Ronald) of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.
