Jerry Clyde Shoemake, age 73, of Cumming, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Jerry was born in Cumming, GA, in 1943, to the late Clyde and Corene Shoemake. He was a member at Silver City Baptist Church where he was at one time over the Visitation group and Convalescent singing at the church. He is also in good standing with the Bojangles in Dawsonville 7 days a week. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Shoemake.
He is survived by his children, Chris Shoemake of Gainesville, Melodee McCord (Don Albey) of Gulf Shores, AL; brothers, Blane Shoemake (Shelia) of Wisconsin, Ricky Shoemake (Joyce) of Hiram; sister-in-law, Barbara Shoemake of Cumming; granddaughter, Stefani Soles (PO3 Brannon) of Virginia Beach, VA; great grandchildren, Kiya and Tayton Soles; special cousin, Minnie Grogan of Cumming.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27th at 4:00 pm at Silver City Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Davis and Rev. Tim Biddy officiating. Interment will follow in Silver City Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Thursday from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.
