RJ Norton

RJ Norton, age 84, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017.

Mr. Norton was born on December 28, 1932 in Hart County, Georgia to the late Ryder and Bell Howell Norton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Alex Norton; seven brothers, and one sister. Mr. Norton was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Loutrell Purcell Norton, of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Mary Norton, of Alto; Wendell and Pat Norton, of Alto; brother, Herbert Norton, of Royston; grandchildren, Jay, Coley, Kristy Lynn, and Ryleigh; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Tyler, Emma, and Ollie.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Chad Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017 prior to the service.
