Michael J. Danckert

Michael J. Danckert, age 57, of Gainesville, GA passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

Michael was born in Marlborough, MA, raised in Northborough, MA, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Framingham State College.  After college, he moved to the Atlanta, Georgia area, where Michael worked for General Electric and met the love of his life, Marjie. They spent many years in the Atlanta area before relocating to Raleigh, NC working for GE, and most recently, NC State Employees Credit Union.  They recently moved back to Georgia.

Mike had a passion for photography but enjoyed hobbies such as motorcycle riding, woodworking, scuba diving, and water sports.

Mike was a loving husband, son, brother and uncle. He leaves his wife, Marjorie (Bickford); mother, Jeanette (Migliozzi) Danckert of Statesville, NC; sister, Sharon Danckert Smith, her husband Allen; niece, Jennifer of Statesville, NC; brother, Mark Danckert, his wife Laura; nephew, Joe and niece, Jess from Pleasanton, CA, and a large extended family and friends. His father, John (Jack) Danckert predeceased him.

There will be no services at this time, but will plan a Celebration of his life in the future.
