Mrs. Geneva Fowler Rogers, age 82, of Oak Valley Road in Toccoa passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Ga.
A daughter of the late Henry and Mattie Evans Fowler, she was born March 25, 1935 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She worked for Toccoa Garment Company for 35 years as a seamstress and later retired from Coats and Clark. She attended Zebulon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Rogers in 2006, by seven brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Jerry Westmoreland and Bonnie and Pate Maxwell both of Toccoa and Linda and Ken Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Rogers of Carnesville, Georgia; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. in The Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Alvin Burns and the Reverend Clack Stubbs officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kevin Westmoreland, Jason Maxwell, Randy Westmoreland, Clint Garrison, Brent Richards, Bradley Westmoreland, Cole Roland and Will Rasch. Honorary pallbearer will be Stacy Westmoreland.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, April 17, 2017, 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Online condolences can by left for the Rogers family by visiting www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Geneva Fowler Rogers.
